Cooking macaroni penne in a pressure cooker is an easy and delicious way to enjoy this Italian classic! Follow these simple steps for the perfect meal.

Ingredients:
  • 500g of penne pasta
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 medium onions, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 400g can of diced tomatoes
  • Salt to taste
  • Parmesan cheese for garnish (optional)

Fry the onions and garlic in olive oil until soft. Add the canned tomatoes and let it simmer. Once the sauce is ready, add the penne pasta to a pressure cooker. Make sure the water level is adequate so that the pasta cooks properly. Seal the lid of your pressure cooker and bring it up to high pressure. Cook for about 10 minutes or until the desired tenderness of the penne.

Once done, open the pressure cooker safely and mix the sauce with the cooked penne. Season with salt to taste and serve hot with a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese if you like.
